D8 Module Sprint
INVITATION to participate with the "Drupal Events" D8 Module Sprint
D8 is stable and developed enough to start working on module development. Needless to say that it is the modules that make Drupal so powerfull. Therefore it is logic that we need to start thinking about the many modules that make a Drupal site great.
Therefore, we like to organize a sprint to get a large group of developers, testers, documenters etc... together, working on porting - as many as possible - popular modules to D8 such that these are available from the earliest moments on.

Hi everyone!
We had a slow start to getting the Prague site up this year thanks to our security issue, but now we're full steam ahead, with over 200 people already registered for DrupalCon Prague! Now all we need is some remarkable content to share with the attendees! If you have an idea for a session or a training, we want to hear from you! Now is your chance! The call for content ends Friday, the 12. July at 23:59 CEST.
Why content, not papers? Well, the DrupalCon program has changed since we last did the call. We've listened to feedback from DrupalCon attendees, and we're hoping our new direction will really resonate with our audience. In addition to our regular great offerings of Sessions, BoFs, CXO, Keynotes and Training, we're excited to roll out a few new initiatives.
You can submit a session at: https://prague2013.drupal.org/submit-session
You can propose a training at: https://prague2013.drupal.org/propose-training

But first, what questions do you (or people you work with) want to know about the current IA? How people are using? When they are using? From what devices? Etc etc.
Put all your questions you'd like to answered by this study in the comments below. If there are duplicate questions, great! That will help inform priorities.

Read moreD8 Port of Backbone Module Starting
A quick announcement that we're starting porting of the Backbone module to D8. While Backbone is in core, that will most likely not include library functions for handling Drupal RESTful sync'ing in the client. The Backbone module will continue to hold JS implementations for easy integration with Drupal's new REST services, and some convenience models for working with Drupal entities in JS and common entity types.
If you're interested in being involved, please don't hesitate to message me on d.o!
